Faith Leaders

The Interfaith Community of San Antonio (ICSA) aspires to collaborate with the collective energy of San Antonio’s faith leaders and congregations. We believe that by working together, we can achieve amazing accomplishments for our communities. By inspiring our youth, young adults, and adults to come together, to bond, develop friendships, and help each other, we can work on eliminating religious bias and discrimination.

ICSA works with faith leaders of the community to bring congregations together for volunteer events, educational seminars and tours, field trips, day camps, and diversity days.

Each year a Faith Leader is assigned for the cooperation and communication with different groups and congregations of their faith (Faith Groups) to coordinate and plan for the various ICSA events throughout the year.

Faith Leaders are responsible for outreach, communication, and organization of Faith Groups (congregations, churches, or temples, etc.) of their faith. To encourage participation and involvement, ICSA will reward members of each Faith Group the “Faith Ambassador Award” for those who have volunteered and participated in ICSA events with a minimum of 50 participation hours for the year.

ICSA’s Faith Leaders are self-nominated. If you would like to submit a self-nomination, please fill out this form.

Faith Groups

We encourage all members of any faith to participate in ICSA events and projects! We don’t want any religious or faith group left out. It is our hope that the more diverse our faith groups are, the better our community can learn and understand the various different cultures and ways of life our community has.

If you would like your congregation or group to be involved and participate in ICSA events and projects, please look for and contact the Faith Leader assigned to your faith. If your faith is not listed, please contact us. (The list of the Faith Leaders is coming soon!)

Faith Ambassadors

One of ICSA’s missions is to educate our community’s youth and young adults about the various religions and cultures of the world. We believe by educating and opening up the minds and hearts of people from a young age, will help them develop understanding, tolerance, and compassion for everyone’s unique differences. Thus, eliminating any potential discrimination and bias based on religion or culture. ICSA’s Faith Ambassadors programs awards special individuals of each Faith Group that has participated in ICSA events and projects with a minimum of 50 participation hours for the year.

Faith Ambassadors then work with the Faith Leaders of their Faith Group to help with outreach, communication, planning, and executing future events and projects. This encourages the Faith Ambassadors to not only gain knowledge of the different faiths of our community, but also help develop leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
